Our Educational Community

Saratoga's Community Federal Credit Union, formerly Saratoga Teachers Federal Credit Union, was founded in 1945 by a small group of teachers in the Saratoga Springs Public School System. Salaries were quite low back then and it was felt that a Credit Union would enable its members to save regularly and borrow confidentially should the need arise.

Today, the Credit Union is one of a few financial institutions that focus on people working in education, as well as their families. Most of our Members work in the Education Community, or are families of people working in education, however anyone who lives, works or worships in Saratoga County is welcome to join the Credit Union.

For over sixty years, we have never abandoned our commitment to provide value to educators and their families. Our name may have changed but our values have remained the same.
